I’m not THAT old.
But one of my biggest complaints about this forum is how stinking hard it is to get a photo from my phone to the forum.
How do y’all make this easy?

Perhaps try Tapatalk which is a phone app many of us use to browse the forum.

Posting pics is easy because you aren’t uploading them to the OLF and aren’t under the size constraints of the forum. Instead the images are uploaded to Tapatalk servers and linked in the post.

Hope that helps.

Brad

I send them to my email, and load them on my Mac. Resize the photo by changing it from 72 to 36, and seeing if that got it down below 256. Adjust until it goes below 256.

I know nothing about computers; but I can do that in no time at all.

The phone will send it to the Mac; but then it is in some other format.

I guess that you wanted to post right from the phone. I don't do much of anything from an iPhone; they are so small! I use mine as a camera, directions in my car, and when we are away.

Like Ken, I go the roundabout way and email photos to myself from my phone (which forces a file size choice), save them locally on my PC, then load them into posts via the forum’s editing process. It takes longer, but I despise trying to do any real work on my phone. The screen is too small, my fingers are too large for the virtual buttons, and mobile versions of websites tend to have fewer features. Everything works better (but slower) on my PC. To each their own.

Tapatalk does make it really easy from the IPhone. Easy enough that I often post from my Mac then go back and edit the post on the phone to add the photos with Tapatalk. Lots of ways to do it all on the Mac or PC, just have to reduce the file size.

I use the iPad (or iPhone) and upload photos (via EDIT) after I post the text on PC- cumbersome at best.

Short Rant on Privacy, Unrelated to the Question:

I haven't downloaded TapTalk because, according to the Developers TOS AND Privacy Policy, it gathers personal data.

The information from the Apple App Store says "Data Not Linked to You", but the developers statement states otherwise.

The TapTalk.io Privacy Policy says:
[*]"WE MAY USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT, BOTH PERSONAL AND NON-PERSONAL WITH THIRD PARTIES SUCH AS ADVERTISERS... MARKETING PARTNERS......BUSINESS PARTNERS..."

I find their privacy policy pretty vague and full of loosey goosey and loophole language such as "variety of [personal] information".

Everybody else probably has my info already, but I don't like data mining apps on my iPhone, especially an app with a vague and open-ended privacy policy.
